Beastie Boys: Making Noise With Friends And Hot Sauce

It has been awhile since we have heard a new Beastie Boys album (and one involving rapping at that) but the trio have returned with Hot Sauce Committee Part 2, the follow-up to the indefinitely shelved Hot Sauce Committee Part 1 (due to MCA's cancer diagnosis and successful treatment). On May 3, the trio are set to release their eighth full-length album which also features guest appearances from Nas and Santogold. If you, like myself, love Beastie Boys and can not wait until the album's release. Here are three ways to pass the time until next Tuesday.

1. "Make Some Noise"
This is the initial single for Hot Sauce Committee Part 2. Not only does the song rock but the video is pure genius. Seriously, it has Elijah Wood, Danny McBride and Seth Rogan as Ad-Rock, MCA and Mike D going around terrorizing Will Arnett and Ted Danson while partying with Maya Rudolph and Kirsten Dunst in a limo. All of this takes place after the video for "Fight For Your Right." Still not sure whether to laugh or bob my head to this video but it is enjoyable and that is all that matters to my ears and eyes.

2. Fight For Your Right Revisited
Essentially, this is a short film/longer version of "Make Some Noise" in the same vein of Kanye West creating a longer version of "Runaway." Instead of have bird women and Michael Jackson's festival float bust, you get two sets of Beastie Boys in a dance-off against each other starring Will Ferrell, Jack Black and John C. Reilly as the future Beasties spawning from a DeLorean. Also, I, too, have wondered where MCA found a sledgehammer to smash the TV in "Fight for Your Right."

3. Oh yeah, there is this...
In addition to the LiveStream from a speaker in the center of Madison Square Garden, the entire album is streaming on their Soundcloud page. Really, there is nothing more to add to that other than just press play.
